RV Insurance

Protect your home on the road.

Physical damage, liability and personal belongings, with emergency expenses, roadside assistance and full-timer coverage for year-round living.

Chapter 01

An RV is a vehicle and a residence at the same time

That dual character is the whole difficulty. Physical damage and liability cover it as a vehicle. Personal belongings coverage handles what is inside it, which for most owners is a great deal more than what is inside a car.

A policy written as though it were only a vehicle leaves the contents thin, and one written as though it were only a residence leaves the road exposure thin.

Full-timer coverage

If the RV is where you live year round, the policy needs to know that. Full-timer coverage adds the liability and living exposures that a weekend policy does not carry, and it is not a small distinction.

It is one of the first questions we ask, because the answer changes which carriers will even write the risk.

Chapter 03

Emergency expenses and roadside assistance

When a motorhome stops, it stops somewhere, and you are usually a long way from home. Emergency expenses coverage handles accommodation and travel while it is repaired.

Roadside assistance for a vehicle of that size and weight is a different service from the one on a family car, and worth confirming rather than assuming.
